Since 1987, Drew Child Development Corporation (Drew CDC), a private, nonprofit organization located in South Central Los Angeles, has been dedicated to the education and well-being of at-risk children in the metropolitan Los Angeles area.
Our mission is to prepare the children of Watts-Willowbrook, Compton and South Los Angeles to succeed and thereby strengthen our community’s future. We accomplish this through our Child Welfare, Early Child Education, Mental Health and Child Care Subsidy programs.
Reporting to the Director of Alternative Payments, the Enrollment Associate shall complete initial case assessment and determine presumptive eligibility of families applying for child care services (Stage 1) and help eligible parents gain access to child care services and programs; will manage the enrollment process with families to ensure all required documentation is submitted timely including conducting periodic outreaches to active enrollments via phone, mail and email; will provide referrals for licensed child care, as needed; will provide denial for ineligible families and providers in accordance with compliance standards; will provide quality customer service for all clients and internal support departments, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of data.
The ideal candidate shall have one of the following:
- Option 1 – Associate’s degree and 6 months experience in office and or customer service environment
- Option 2 – AA degree and 2 years experience in office and or customer service environment.
- Option 3 – High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years experience in office and or customer service environment.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in quality assurance, case management or client/vendor management in a human services or child development environment; strong time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work; excellent written and oral communications skills; excellent customer service skills and experience with a diverse client base; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; ability to apply program guidelines and follow procedures; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
