Since 1987, Drew Child Development Corporation (Drew CDC), a private, nonprofit organization located in South Central Los Angeles, has been dedicated to the education and well-being of at-risk children in the metropolitan Los Angeles area.Our mission is to prepare the children of Watts-Willowbrook, Compton and South Los Angeles to succeed and thereby strengthen our community’s future. We accomplish this through our Child Welfare, Early Child Education, Mental Health and Child Care Subsidy programs.
Our Director of Mental Health Services will oversee our DMH Mental Health and Wraparound services and ensure each program is meeting the contractual and regulatory requirements and high quality service delivery by:
- Developing and managing the annual Program budgets; ensuring favorable audits; being resourceful in finding ways to reduce Program costs and increase the quality of service delivery.
- Providing Program Managers with on-going guidance, mentorship and training to enhance their effectiveness as Managers, career growth opportunities, and creating a team environment where Program Managers work together and support each to provide a comprehensive range of services to participants.
- Ensuring sustainability of each Program and enhancing resources to participants and the community by expanding and diversify services and generating revenue opportunities including grants, new contracted services, and contract expansion opportunities.
- Developing high visibility and increase community support by through strong relationships with contract administrators, funders, community organizations, and community stakeholders, and ensuring that Program services are known and respected in the non-profit social services community.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years supervisory experience including supervision of pre-licensed and licensed therapists with responsibility for: (1) the delivery of services, contractual and regulatory compliance, policy and procedure development, and fiscal management of one or more social services Programs in a non-profit environment (DMH and Wraparound contract management preferred); (2) a Master’s degree (Doctoral degree or candidate preferred) in Social Work or Psychology (with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy), or related field; and (3) must be licensed with the State of California and able to supervise pre-licensed clinicians.
