Screening at King/Drew Magnet
Yesterday, our Outreach Coordinator Nochelle Brown spearheaded a panel discussion and screening of A.J Ali and Errol Webber’s documentary “Walking While Black L.O.V.E is the Answer” to the students at our neighboring King/Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science. With a few hundred high school juniors and seniors in attendance, the event included remarks from our very own COO/CFO Jackie Clarke, a certificate of excellence presentation to the filmmakers and King/Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science from K.W. Tulloss on behalf of Congresswoman Nannette Barragan-Diaz’s and a question and answer segment with King/Drew students and panelist from the Los Angeles Police Department. Panelist included: Captain Al Neal, Detective Mike Bland, Lieutenant Gena Brooks, Officer Delano Hutchins, Senior Lead Officer Thomas Langston and Officer Travis Fenderson.
