Since 1987, Drew Child Development Corporation (Drew CDC), a private, nonprofit organization located in South Central Los Angeles, has been dedicated to the education and well-being of at-risk children in the metropolitan Los Angeles, area.
Through our Child Welfare, Early Child Education and Mental Health programs, our mission is to prepare the children of Watts-Willowbrook, Compton and South Los Angeles to succeed and thereby strengthen our community’s future.
Reporting to the Mental Health Services Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist will provide outpatient-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families utilizing evidenced-based service models. The Clinical Therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary mental health treatment team towards the goal of providing efficient and prompt mental health service delivery.
The successful candidate must have (1) MSW or MA degree in the Social Services field; (2) a current state licensure as a LCSW or LMFT or current state intern registration as a ACSW or LMFT Intern; (3) a minimum of two years of experience working with children & adolescents in a mental health setting; and (4) a CA driver’s license, reliable automobile, and evidence of automobile liability insurance. Certification in any or all evidenced based practice models (TFCBT, AFCBT, Incredible Years, or IPT) and being bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
