(I have never received cash aid or it has been more than 24 months since I last received cash aid)
If you have never received cash aid or if it has been more than 24 months since you last received cash aid for yourself, you may apply to our Alternative Payment Program. You will need to demonstrate eligibility based on your income and family size and have at least one child under age 13 or under age 21 with exceptional needs, living in the home. In addition, you will be required to provide verification of your need for child care such as employment, school or training, seeking employment, incapacitation, seeking permanent housing or have a Child Protective Service (CPS) or at-risk referral.
Funding for the Alternative Payment Program is limited; families will be served based on available funds from the California Department of Education. Families who apply will be placed on a waiting list which is based on income and family size. Families with a greater need based on income and family size are given priority.
You may contact our office at (310) 638-8108 to learn more information regarding our Alternative Payment Program requirements for enrollment.
