“Jonathan Smith, the youngest of the crew at 9-years-old, made Toastmasters proud as he took the microphone and delivered a heartfelt thank you for all they have helped him to accomplish.
He said he has been part of NYA for he past three months and in that time they have taught him a lot about publish speaking.
He said he is typically a very shy person and NYA has helped him to overcome that. He said that he plans to be in NYA for the next seven years.
“I know that this program will help me to overcome obstacles that comes my way that involve public speaking and first he like to thank God for giving him the courage to be in front of you today. I also want to give a very special thanks to Madam Toastmaster for teaching me about grammar. I also like to thank Michael Wainwright, my grandpa, Jim Highs and my fellow Toastmaster colleagues for allowing me to be part of this life enriching program,” said Smith.
The audience gave Smith a big round of applause for his bravery and professionalism at such a young age.”
